Sit-to-stand lifts (stand assist lifts) are designed for patients who have difficulty standing up on their own from a seated position and is used to transfer a patient between seated surfaces. Made to support only the upper body of the patient. Requires the ability to support the majority of his weight while standing and control of his upper body and head functions.
