Tips for accurately measuring blood pressure:
- Stop any exercise or walking half an hour before the measurement.
- Stop consuming caffeinated beverages and refrain from smoking half an hour before the measurement.
- Empty your bladder.
- Take a 5-minute break before measuring. Stand up straight, remove any tight clothing from the measuring area, and keep your feet uncrossed.
- Do not talk while measuring or during the break.
- Take two measurements, two minutes apart, and then take the average of the two measurements.
