It is designed for rehabilitation following injury, fracture, sprain, or foot, ankle, or lower leg surgery to prevent plantar flexion when necessary. The rigid shell provides support to elevate the ankle, limiting plantar flexion and enabling the prevention of conditions such as foot drop or contractures during prolonged bed rest.
